That’s the common way to write dates in the United States.
I work for a German company, so I constantly run into both versions in files/reports. haha

That’s the common way to write dates in the United States.
This. We read the date as “April Twentieth, Two Thousand and Sixteen” not “The Twentieth of April, Two Thousand and Sixteen.”
